Justin,

With the benefit of hindsight have your views changed? I remember how everyone I knew was ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the US and its people. I lament the fact that the solidarity most of the world felt in the aftermath has all but evaporated. As an outsider now living in the US I am very aware of how the US is viewed in Europe, Africa and Australia - the places I am from and still have contact with.

Justin,
Reading your blog on 9/11/01, I got a lump in my stomach and a sadness in my heart as it took me back to that unbelievable day. On 9/12/01, I and the four other moms with 1-year old babies in my Friday morning playgroup sat with tears in our eyes, glued to the television, re-watching the events of 9/11 unfold repeatedly. Talking about it that morning, we felt an even stronger bond with eachother, not just as new moms, but as Americans. Well, my 1-year old is almost 7 now. The "playgroup" disbanded years ago. We moms moved to other areas of our sprawling city of metro Phoenix, AZ...and slowly lost touch as we got involved in our childrens' school activities. Let's not let the same thing happen to us as fellow Americans...separating over time after feelings of such unity, brotherhood and patriotism. We have to stick together and never ever forget those feelings evoked in us on 9/11. And, even more importantly, we have to pass it on to our children, so they will pass it on to theirs. After all, the current hatred-driven problems of our world today (and of tomorrow) will not take years to solve, but generations. But, we can do what we can personally to make this world a better one, one day at a time.

Hello,

I regret it took so long for me
to really reach into the home
of the Homestead Team of Employees. I'm glad I did.

I've written a song entitled:
"MISS YOU" I wrote it during the
days of September 11th., and as you've stated in the last paragraph, regarding moving on, more work to be done.., life gos on, I've tried to deplict that in my song.

I didn't want to "push" my song too much, during that time, due to the fact I didn't want it to seem I was capitalizing from such tragedy. I do feel however that Now Is The Time! I will be soliciting assistance in getting the word out regarding my song to have proceeds to go to events and orgainizaitons that support efforts of moving on in life, and rebuilding lives due to our U.S. tragedy.

We often ask what is it that I can do? Well I would like to do something!, via the works of my music.

I've yet to post it on my site, I'm currently doing some re-mixing of the song which is almost in completion. I often perform my music works for different orgainizations that give benefits for the purpose of helping to rebuild lives.

The song I'm spearheading now is
entitled:"THANK YOU" My URL on my other site(MySpace is: lapuente)

"THANK YOU FOR SHARING"
