I was interested in looking up Homestead's services based on the reviews I've read, but I was disappointed to get an "unsupported browser error" page. It seems like the Homestead main page (www.homestead.com) forces people to use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox by preventing those who use alternative browsers from viewing the site.

I use the K-Meleon web browser (I find it to be better for me than either Internet Explorer or Firefox) and it has become my browser of choice. While I do have IE and Firefox installed, I'm not going to switch browsers just because I can't access a site, and I'm sure other people would think the same. I learned (back during the browser wars) that to restrict access based on browser preferences is a no-no in site design -- you lose potential visitors that way -- so it comes as a surprise that a well-known company is using a tactic that's been frowned upon by web designers for years.

congrats....
